GAPPT Membership

Membership in the GAPPT provides the following amenities:
  • Affiliation with an organization that has been awarded the prestigious IACET Accredited Provider accreditation, which includes the ability to earn IACET Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
  • Continuing education tracking, including a convenient downloadable transcript for plan reporting purposes.
  • Networking opportunities with other Georgia public retirement system trustees and staff members.
  • Discounted registration at the Annual Conference.
  • Discounted registration at the Annual Trustee School.
  • Opportunity to register for the members-only networking event, GAPPT Night at the Atlanta Braves.
  • Educational event speaker consideration.
  • "Members Only" advertising and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Discounted rates for education sessions on our online platform, GAPPT|CLASSROOM.
  • Information available only to members through the GAPPT website:
    • A searchable directory of current GAPPT members.
    • Material from past educational events, including attendee lists and presentations.
    • Editions of our quarterly newsletter, the "GAPPT News and Reports".
    • A listing of submitted "requests for proposals" from Plan Sponsor members.

The GAPPT membership period runs from April 1st to March 31st. All Affiliate members and Plan Sponsor "Key Members" received their renewal reminder in early November. An opportunity to join the organization or renew a membership will also be available on the 2024 event registration forms. 

MEMBERSHIP TYPES:

PLAN SPONSOR MEMBERSHIP is open to all individuals who are currently serving as a director, trustee, or staff member of a public retirement system.

  • The 2024 rate for an Individual Plan Sponsor Member is $35.00.
  • The 2024 rate for an Organizational Plan Sponsor Member is $150.00 for the first five (5) individuals; and $30.00 for each additional individual within the organization.
  • Renewing Organizations Only: "Key Members" renew on behalf of their organization's members. Any CRPF™ recertification fees will be automatically included on the renewal invoice.

AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP is open to individuals who have expressed an interest in the association and its mission, but who do not fall within the definition of Plan Sponsor or Emeritus member. Individuals with actuarial, consulting, custodial, legal, third-party plan administration, and investment management firms would be considered Affiliate members.

  • The 2024 rate for an Individual Affiliate Member is $725.00

EMERITUS MEMBERSHIP is open to individuals who previously qualified as a Plan Sponsor member, but are no longer active as a trustee or plan staff member. Emeritus members cannot be employed with an entity serving the retirement community, such as an actuarial, consulting, custodial, legal, third-party plan administration, or investment management firm.

  • The 2024 rate for an Individual Emeritus Member is $20.00
